An Impossible Way To Die
Drama / 6 x 60 / HD, Airline, DVD, Non-Theatric
A Clapperboard Studios Production for Channel 5
DS Katie Salter is happily solving everyday crimes until fate drags her into an impossible murder mystery. Four people sat around a table set for a dinner party: dead, the only clue a scorpion crawling out of a victim’s mouth…
DS Salter is not your stereotypical damaged TV cop. She’s smart, diligent, with a happy family and a loving, if slightly dull, partner. In a world where every TV cop is a maverick with personal issues, Salter’s a bright, witty, likeable blast of fresh air.
But at work, Salter is completely underestimated; her empathy, niceness and wry sense of humour are mistaken as weakness by her colleagues. Salter is saddled with the boring cases no one else wants – something that doesn’t bother Salter in the slightest.
Confronted by murder, Salter is flung together with DI Niall Conway, the station’s renegade cop – a macho man of action who lives by taking risks. With two wildly contrasting styles of policing, Conway and Salter seem doomed to fail. With pressure and bodies mounting up, she finds herself working all hours, taking risks, forgetting her family – becoming the type of cop she despises. Can she find the killer whilst remaining true to herself?
