20 July 2015

Independent UK based distributor DCD Rights has hired two new regional specialists for its international sales team, it announced today, as part of a raft of staff appointments designed to reflect the increasing global demand for its world-leading content.

James Anderson, previously Sales Manager at IMG Media, joins the company as Senior Sales Executive, responsible for Japan, Asia, Eastern Europe, Benelux, Africa and the Middle East. James brings a host of experience in worldwide content distribution, having managed digital and home entertainment rights across all territories at IMG Media. Previously he worked as Sales Executive at BBC Worldwide for digital and DVD sales in Benelux and Scandinavia and Sales Executive for DVD globally at 3DD Entertainment.

Lenneke de Jong is appointed as Sales Executive, Latin America, Spain and Portugal, a new role created in response to increased demand from Spanish-speaking territories. Lenneke, a multi-lingual Spanish language graduate, will also manage Inflight, Non-Theatric and Clip sales. Lenneke joins the company from Endemol Shine.

Both positions will report to Rick Barker, DCD Rights’ Head of Sales.

In addition, Simon Bath arrives as Technical Co-ordinator, responsible for deliverables across all DCD Rights’ sales processes. Simon was previously Client Technical Co-ordinator at Deluxe Media, one of the largest content management service companies in the media and entertainment industry, and has extensive experience in international content delivery.

Further appointments include Lianna Pim, who is recruited as Acquisitions Assistant, reporting to Pilar Perez, DCD Rights’ Head of Acquisitions, and Lucy Pryke, who joins the company to support the marketing and deliverables teams.

Nicky Davies Williams, CEO at DCD Rights, commented, “We’re very pleased to welcome James, Lenneke, Simon, Lianna and Lucy to the team – their experience and enthusiasm will be integral to the continued expansion of our global activities. We have a number of exciting new deals and developments in the pipeline and establishing such a strong sales and distribution team is absolutely essential in ensuring we maximise the performance of our content worldwide – both for the producers we are working with and our broadcaster clients.”
