The Australian crime thriller follows straight-arrow detective Ethan Tobane, who finds himself caught in a dangerous web of lies and murder after human remains are found under a demolished city building. Ethan soon discovers a personal connection between the powerful property magnate who constructed the building and his own father. How far will Ethan go to find the truth? Fortitude Valley is a Moving Floor Entertainment production for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, with major production investment from Screen Australia, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Screen Queensland.

Also launching, An Impossible Way To Die, a Clapperboard Studios production for UK broadcaster 5, is a six-part thriller starring Sharon Rooney (The Revenge Club, Barbie, The Teacher) and Emmett J. Scanlan (MobLand, Kin, Peaky Blinders). DS Katie Salter happily solves everyday crimes until fate drags her into an impossible murder mystery. Four people sat around a table set for a dinner party: dead, the only clue a scorpion crawling out of a victim’s mouth… her quiet policing life is upended as she’s thrown into a high-pressure murder investigation.
